PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT I, the undersigned Collector of Taxes of the Town of Fenner, Madison County, New York have duly received the Tax Roll and Warrant for the Collection of Taxes for the fiscal year 2022, however,
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE THAT ALL TAX PAYMENTS MUST BE MADE PAYABLE TO: MADISON COUNTY TREASURER. Checks should be mailed to Madison County Treasurer, PO Box 665, Wampsville, NY 13163 and that the Madison County Treasurer’s office, located at 138 North Court Street, Wampsville, NY 13163, will be available to accept payments, by appointment only, starting January 1, 2023 from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm each day except Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays for the purpose of receiving taxes assessed upon such roll.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE THAT PAYMENTS CAN BE MADE ONLINE AT: www.xpress-pay.com and by selecting Madison County. Payment can be made by credit card or e-check; additional fees apply.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that any tax bill in excess of $100 may be paid in two equal installments, the first to be collected no later than January 31, 2023, and providing that the first installment has been collected, the second installment with statutory interest to be collected no later than April 30, 2023.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, due to the fact that April 30, 2023 is the last day for Tax Collection in Madison County, tax bills received by mail MUST be ‘postmarked’ by April 30, 2023 to be accepted.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that taxes may be paid on or before January 31, 2023 without charge or interest and that tax bills received by mail MUST be ‘postmarked’ by January 31, 2023. A one percent charge will be added to unpaid taxes on February 1, 2023, a two percent charge plus a $2.00 reminder fee will be added to unpaid taxes on March 1, 2023, a three percent charge will be added to unpaid taxes on April 1, 2023.

New exemption for volunteer firefighters and ambulance workers signed into law Recently, Governor Hochul signed Chapter 670 of the Laws of 2022 into law. The new law gives municipalities, school districts and fire districts throughout the State the option to provide a property tax exemption of up to 10% to volunteer firefighters and ambulance workers.
